Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent is returning to the big screen. He emerged on the Hip Hop scene in 2002 after being discovered by Eminem. He was met with success at a rapid pace and has not slowed down since. 50 has several ventures outside of music including television producing, various lucrative investments, and acting. He has appeared in notable acting roles such as “Get Rich Or Die Trying”, “All Things Fall Apart” and most recently the hit show “Power”, which he also serves as executive producer. This time he is teaming up once again with Sylvester Stallone for the second installment of Escape Plan.
The film first hit the box office in 2013 and made over $112 million worldwide. The New York veteran rapper will appear in Escape Plan 2, reprising his character Hush, a tech specialist. As of lately, 50 has been notably absent from social media and recently attributed that to the upcoming projects he is working on.
So far, Jaime King, Dave Bautista and director, Steven C. Miller have all signed on for the sequel, alongside 50 Cent. However, there is no word if Arnold Schwarzenegger will rejoin them as Emil Rottmayer, an inmate who escaped prison with Stallone’s character. The plot line for Escape Plan 2 is currently unknown but what is known is that with the success of the first film and all-star cast including 50 Cent, it will be worth seeing.
