Ice Cube Reveals “Last Friday” Is In The Works!

Ice Cube

It is hard to believe that it has been 15 years since actor, producer and rapper, Ice Cube has blessed us with a Friday movie. There have been several rumors stating one was on it’s way but word on when fans could expect it have remained relatively quiet. Well, that all changed when Cube appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden. He was asked once again and finally revealed the titled and stated it was currently in motion. He said of the up and coming project,

We’re working on one right now. We’re gonna call it Last Friday.

The first Friday premiered in 1995 and has proven to be a classic. The success of the following sequels, Next Friday and Friday After Next, made it important to give the culture what they needed again in this next and perhaps final movie. No word if Chris Tucker will rejoin the cast to play his infamous and unforgettable character Smokey. It would be nice to see some of the original cast that help make the franchise what it is today. In recent years, many lines from the movie like, “Bye Felicia” and “You Got Knocked The F*** Out” have become common lingo.

Friday was the first movie that Ice Cube wrote. He has went on to have a successful career not only as an actor but film writer. It will be interesting to see what the plot for Last Friday will be. But if it is anything like Cube’s other movies, we are sure it will be hilarious and memorable just like the last.
